I finally have a name!

Hi Friends!

I am thrilled to announce that I finally have a name. Thank you all so much for helping to create a name for me. There were so many great names to choose from. It took the author a long time to decide on a perfect name for me.

My name is Cordelia! I am so excited because it is a very old name with a new, modern twist. Suzy Davis from N.Y. chose my name and she will be featured with me in the author's next book! I'll keep you posted on our adventures in the new book!

Thank you all so much for participating in the name game.

Talk to you soon.

Name Game Update

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for coming up with totally cool names for me!! I am a really eccentric person. You know what I mean? Please keep the names coming. Rosalinda, Cordelia, Havana, Persephone and Corrine are among my favorites. The more unique the name, the better! One of you guessed Hermoine and although it's totally cool and unique, it's already been taken by the girl in the Harry Potter stories. We need to think of a new, special name just for me!

Enter your names in the "comments" below.

Thanks for playing!

Great names for the Name Game

Hi Everyone,

I love the names you've all suggested. My favorites so far are Aza and Corrine because they are unusual. I like names that are not often heard. Old names found in works of Shakespeare, Dickens, Homer, etc. make great suggestions. So do really funky modern names. You may enter more than once. I'm excited to read all of the cool suggestions!

The Name Game

I am the star of the book "What Mess?" But the author didn't give me a name!! Can you believe that? I'm counting on you to help me! Please suggest a name for me. The author said the name can't be one of her kids' names. So, Jocelyn, Kaitlyn or Alex are not good choices. Any other name would be great though! The winner will be illustrated in the next book!

To submit your name, just post a comment to this thread. Please write your first name, age and e-mail address so the author and illustrator can find you if your name is chosen. Then, choose and ID from the pulldown menu. You can choose to be anonymous.
Thanks for playing! I can't wait to see all of the cool names.

A summary of What Mess?

What Mess? is a colorful children's book for ages 2-6. The story is told by a little girl whose mommy asks her to clean her room. The little girl does not see a mess and justifies each of the toys in the room. The story becomes exaggerated and silly and can be related to by both parents and children. It is a story about perspective; one person's mess is another's work in progress.
